Does BasketFathom change my products automatically?

No. A proposed change is a preview until an authorized merchant approves the exact diff. Controlled automation, when included and deliberately configured, remains limited to pre-approved transformation classes and can be paused.

Are buyer simulations real shopper sessions?

No. They are bounded model analyses over cited merchant evidence. BasketFathom labels them as simulated and does not present them as observed behavior or proof that a change caused revenue or conversion.

What currency does BasketFathom use?

Shopify plans and metered overage are priced in US dollars. The app preserves exact sub-cent rates internally using integer micro-USD.

Which Shopify permissions are required?

Catalog read access, customer-event read access, and Web Pixel write access are the release-one required scopes. Orders and product writes are optional and requested only when a merchant enables the related feature.

Does the storefront pixel collect customer identity?

No. The minimized envelope rejects names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, checkout tokens, and raw search text. Ingestion also follows Shopify's analytics-consent state.

Are delivery dates guaranteed?

No. BasketFathom returns an evidence-backed range and states its assumptions and uncertainty. It does not claim a carrier guarantee.

What happens if I uninstall?

Operational access is revoked, tenant work is stopped, credentials are removed, and retained data follows the documented deletion and Shopify privacy-webhook process.
